AI Pharmacist
Is the AI Pharmacist a Doctor? What It Can't Do

Short answer: no. The AI Pharmacist on this website is an information tool. It is not a doctor, it is not our pharmacist, and it does not diagnose, prescribe, or treat. We think it is genuinely useful — we built it, after all — but it is useful because its limits are clear, not in spite of them.
What it cannot do
- Diagnose you. A chat cannot examine you, listen to your chest, read your reports, or know your history. Similar symptoms can have very different causes.
- Decide your dose. Dosing depends on age, weight, other medicines, pregnancy, liver and kidney health — things a general chat answer cannot weigh.
- Replace a prescription. Prescription medicines exist for a reason: they need a doctor who knows you. No AI answer changes that, and neither do we at the counter without a valid prescription.
- Handle emergencies. It is software on a website. It cannot send help.
Warning signs that are never a chat question
If you or someone near you has chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or slurred speech, a seizure, severe allergic reaction, signs of overdose, or is unconscious — call 112 immediately. Do not type the question anywhere first.
The same applies, less dramatically, to symptoms that persist, keep returning, or steadily get worse: those need a doctor in person, not a better-phrased question.
When to reach a human instead
- Your question involves a child, a pregnancy, or an elderly parent
- You take regular medicines and want to add a new one — combinations matter
- A medicine is causing side effects that worry you
- You are unsure whether a symptom needs a doctor at all — asking us is free, and quick
